The 2004 Rescue Quilt ================================ The theme for both this year's National and for the 2004 Quilt is "Chasing Rainbows" The original quilt design illustrates this theme by taking you over the rainbow to the land of OZ where Sammies can be seen running up the yellow brick road past the field of sleep inducing poppies. The quilt measures 48 x 64 inches. This is the eighth year a group of Samfans quilters from around the world have created a patchwork quilt which is representative of each year's SCA National theme and raffled it off over the internet and at the SCA National. All of our quilt raffles have been extremely successful with as much as $3,000 raised to support rescue groups in each of several years. We hope to exceed our previous years totals and your help in promoting this project to provide funds for Samoyed rescue is appreciated. |
